My one woman comedy show, The Six Ages of Woman, inspires and motivates mothers and grandmothers to live their dreams.
As I approached middle age, I saw myself and women around me, losing themselves, trying to be everything to everyone, putting themselves on the “back burner” regarding their own talents, goals, and dreams. I wrote a one woman comedy show, The Six Ages of Woman, portraying a woman from teenager to grandmother through six phone calls to her best friend. For over 30 years I’ve been inspiring and motivating women (and raising awareness of men) through this universal humor. For audiences of 20 to 2,000, I’ve had people bellylaughing while being inspired to shake up their status quo and live life to the fullest. when the economy tanked, I promoted it as a FUNdraiser and have helped charitable organizations, churches and clubs raise much needed funds. My closing message and poem Inspires my audience to listen to their inner voice, find their passion and pursue their dreams. There is no better feeling than to have an elderly woman come up after a show and share with tears in their eyes how I’ve inspired them to begin those piano lessons, join that choir, write that book, take that trip, or leave that abusive spouse. i don’t care if I get a standing ovation, or a good review, or a full fee. The joy I get from riding the wave of the raucous laughter, seeing the looks of those who feel I’m talking directly to them, hearing their stories, receiving their letters, makes it all worthwhile. After the fact, I often get requests to meet with me privately for coaching to help them get unstuck in whatever challenge they are facing. My answer is and always will be, YES. My motto is, I Live To Serve.
