I Like Orphans.

Young college graduate working and serving in Rwanda who gives her time and salary to bring joy to orphaned children.

A young and passionate college graduate moved to Rwanda, Africa one month after obtaining her degree to serve the children of Lighthouse Children’s Home. Amanda worked another job in Rwanda to help defray the cost of living in Rwanda while also helping the orphans and former street kids residing in the home. One weekend Amanda drove 3 hours across the country (with her earned salary) to treat the children to their first restaurant outing and to watch a televised soccer match of their favorite team. The 11 kids and 2 caregivers were delighted to order food and watch live TV at the same time. Their delight in the outing was easily seen by their joyful faces. Amanda’s caring spirit and love for the Rwandan orphans is evident to anyone she knows.
